Before his breakthrough performance in Easy Rider (1969) and eventual mainstream superstar
status, JACK NICHOLSON toiled away in low-budget exploitation ranging from Cry Baby Killer
(1958) to The Raven (1963) to Hell's Angels on Wheels (1967). One of his earliest is
1960's The Wild Ride, in which he manages to turn a small Juvenile Delinquent film into a
full-fledged Jack Nicholson movie. Insolent, arrogant, and ultra-cool, the screen loves
him even this early on and, though it's only his second starring role, he glides through
it with the confidence and polish of a seasoned pro. Damn, he's good! Look for familiar
cars in the racing sequences !
